Full Description
Over the course of his 14-year artistic career, Peter Heisterkamp (1943-1977), who adopted the pseudonym Blinky Palermo, tirelessly probed the limits of abstract painting. After starting out in the domain that we might consider classical painting, he shifted his activity to less conventional supports, experimenting with diverse materials and forms and exploring the relation between the wall and space delimited by the painting. This volume presents a selection of Palermo's paintings, drawings and engravings, and includes examples taken from the mural he painted between 1963 and 1977 and from his installations, among them the one he did for the 1976 Venice Biennale.
