(Short description)
Over a period of two years Jürgen Hohmuth travelled throughout Europe with his special airship, documenting the phenomenon of labyrinths and mazes. The labyrinth, a symbol for more than 5.000 years of our search for the centre of life, gradually developed over the centuries by way of many hybrid forms, with mazes not appearing until 16th or 17th century. In his quest for the labyrinth, Jürgen Hohmuth visited squares and fields, churches, courtrooms, palace gardens and leisure parks to find modern corn and hedge mazes, baroque garden labyrinths and medieval floor mosaics.
