The second volume continues the historical retelling of the story of Jesus: from his decision to move to Jerusalem for the Passover celebration, to his death on the cross and the discovery of his open grave. This is followed by the early history of early Christianity from the appearances of the Risen One to the Council of Apostles. The focal points are: the connection between the atoning death of Jesus and his proclamation of the salvation of the end-time rule of God, the historical reality of the resurrection of Jesus, the epochal turn to the recognition of the pagan mission and the one church of Jews and pagans.
