Celui-ci, par sa mort et par son sang versé, est devenu notre médiateur pour rendre possible notre relation avec Dieu. L' auteur fonde l'exposé de ces thèmes essentiels sur des citations de l'Écriture qu'il commente d'une manière incisive. Son texte était adressé à des Juifs, peut-être des prêtres, devenus chrétiens qui hésitaient un peu dans leur foi.

The author bases his reflection around these essential themes on quotations from the scriptures, which he comments with perspicacity. The text was addressed to the Jews, perhaps priests, converted to Christianity but a little faltering in their faith.
