This brings to the surface other lies buried within the family, raising provocative questions of whether it is better to conceal or tell all...This brand new play by a new 'discovery' is one of the Abbey Theatre's showcase productions at the Dublin Theatre Festival in October 2002. It marks the debut of yet another young working-class Dublin writer in the vein of Conor McPherson and Mark O'Rowe - born story-tellers with an apparently natural gift for striking dialogue and lived-in characters. The Abbey Theatre is Ireland's National Theatre, with a prodigious reputation for bringing on the best of new Irish writing from the days of Yeats and Synge through Sean O'Casey to the present generation. The Dublin Theatre Festival - with its accompanying Fringe - is Ireland's equivalent of the Edinburgh Festival, and an important source of exciting new plays.
