Inspirational and challenging, the writing of Ted Hughes will fire children's enjoyment of reading and writing poetry. With particular attention paid to the importance of nature in his work, these activities enable children to: present biographical information in a variety of exciting formats such as CVs and fact files; write about poems and discuss how and why poems affect them; identify and make connections between language and themes; compare and contrast poems; and plan and write their own poems.
