Full Description
Kayoko is struggling to decide what she's going to do about her living situation, since Fukuchan is moving out. She ends up running into a girl she used to work with who has an abusive husband, and somehow ends up letting her stay with her until she comes to some sort of decision about her life. She breaks up with the married guy she's been seeing, and then giving up hope when the girl ends up getting back together with her husband. (she was trying to help her get away from him) She has an epiphany after this, that she is no different from that girl, always wanting what's not good for her, always making herself miserable because of the choices she makes. Then she runs into an old boyfriend, who she ends up living with until she again realizes that she's living the same pattern she's gone through with all her previous guys. When she leaves that situation, she runs to Fukuchan's house, but realizing that she's unwelcome, she calls Takahashi in America. She returns to live back at home for a while. He rushes back to Japan to save her. Kayoko, in the meantime, runs into another old acquaintance of hers who works at a hostess bar.
She tries it out for a while, and ends up seeing her father there, who's a regular. When she drags him home with her, he ends up wishing Takahashi luck with his daughter - this is after her entire family does the same, giving him their blessing to be with Kayoko, even though she's the way she is. They go back to Tokyo together, and she meets his family. They don't agree with the marriage, thinking that she's not worthy. When she talks to Fukuchan about the kind of life she wants to lead (rich husband, being a housewife), Fukuchan says that the person most likely to be able to give that to her is Takahashi. And the struggle in her head continues...is being with Takahashi going to mean happiness for her?
