Full Description
Owls are designed to be efficient and effective nighttime hunters, but their specialized design makes it difficult for them to adapt to environmental changes. Owls are disappearing from deserts, grasslands and forests. Although owls are sometimes misunderstood, people are working to insure the future of these midnight fliers. This volume describes the physical characteristics, behaviour, and habitats of different types of owls and discusses conservation efforts that are being implemented.
