This is a review and analysis of theoretical and applied developments available in acculturation research. It includes theory data relevant to the four major ethnic minority groups: African Americans, Asian Americans, American Indians and Hispanics/Latinos. It specifically looks at contemporary developments in the theoretical analysis of acculturation as a culture-learning process - its relationship with other constructs (such as ethnic identification) and with cultural values and mores.
