Armed with a creative writing degree, Pablo Seladon returns to Cathedral City, to be with best friend Maria Lourdes Castillo and her beautiful daughter. Once a place of great revelry, Cathedral City is now more like a ghost town, home only to the most resilient of residents. Pablo's unquenchable desire, however, takes him to a gay bar where he discovers a man whose rugged looks and depth of character change his perceptions of relationships forever. Maria has found peace and happiness with her daughter, Conchita, but now a dark force from the past is threatening to rock her dream-boat once again. Meanwhile lovers Kenny and Nick continue their vagabond existence in the Nevada desert. With their passion restored and Nick off the sauce, their lives are one long moment of bliss - until an explosive secret tears the delicate fabric of this existence asunder.
