基本説明
Case studies on transport, the environment, and consumer protection are included.
Full Description
This study shows the variety of European regulatory politics as it reaches the so-called nooks and crannies of the European market. Case studies on transport, the environment, and consumer protection show the efforts made to include the concerns of consumers, environmentalists and other social actors, alongside those of the industries concerned. The institutional process of the European Union is more accessible and more balanced in its outcomes that is often argued. Enlargement to include Austria, Finland, and Sweden has nudged the process further in this direction. But the price to be paid is to set central and East European applicants even tougher targets. The analysis of the single European market reveals just how many opportunities there are for different interests to influence the process.
