This work covers issues facing second- and third-generation South Asian young people growing up in Western countries. Drawing on fieldwork from four countries (Great Britain, USA, Canada, and Australia), this work covers topics such as schooling and education, bilingualism, acculturation patterns, cultural conflicts and identity formation, racial prejudice, gender equality and employment opportunities. The text also makes constructive suggestions to improve the education and lifestyles of South Asian young people in the West.
