Full Description

Reading Latin, written by Peter V. Jones and Keith C. Sidwell and published by Cambridge University Press in 1986, is a Latin course designed to help mature beginners read Latin fluently and intelligently. This Independent Study Guide is intended for students who are learning Latin on their own or with only limited access to a teacher. It contains notes on the Latin texts that appear in the Reading Latin Text volume, translations of all the texts and answers to the exercises in the Grammar, Vocabulary and Exercises volume. There are instructions on how to use the course and the Study Guide. Apart from those studying entirely on their own, students in schools, in universities and summer schools who have to learn Latin rapidly will also welcome the appearance of this Guide.
