The internationall renowned artist Szcesny made his first trip to the Caribbean in the late 1980s. He was so fascinated by the almost unimaginable beauty of the islands' nature, by their vegetation that ist so rich in shapes and colours, by their wonderful climate and by the kindness of the people, that he returned to the area at regular intervals in the years that followed.
Szcesnys oeuvre is illustrated by a large number of colour illustrations - photographs of landscapes, people, situationss andthe works that were created here. Like a collage that is vibrant with colours, Szcesny evoks moods in uns which he himself experienced on Mustique, sahring with uns his "paradise on earth".
